What is this blog about?

In photography, a viewfinder is what the photographer looks through to compose, and in many cases to focus, the picture (borrowed from Wikipedia). The clarity and range, therefore, of the viewfinder, will to a large degree contribute towards the aesthetic quality and worth of the resulting photograph.

This web log will be my personal commentary on current events and issues as it relates to the science of sociology and the tenets of religion. It will reflect my interpretation of occurrences and perturbances from around the world focusing and composed through my mental viewfinder.

Just as a photograph is static in contrast to the dynamic environment it attempts to capture, so also are these opinions only a snapshot of my ever-evolving views of the world. But if while perusing my musings you discover that a recalibration of my outlook may be overdue, please be at liberty to show me my blindspots by posting a reply or a comment.

Thank you.
